Area Foodie Perplexed By $10 Meal That Doesn’t Suck
SAN FRANCISCO – After reluctantly being dragged into “The Pavilion”, a local establishment that looked as boring on the outside as it’s name suggests, area foodie Brianna Davis emerged perplexed that her meal actually tasted good. “I feel weird saying this, but the sauce on the pasta with vegetables was actually good, although ‘Deconstructed Zucchini Pasta’ would be a better name”, said the intolerable Davis. “And I’m not sure if the juice in my drink was cold pressed, but it was decent”.
Davis commented that she’s used to dropping $30 or $40 for “artisanal kale salads” and “matcha-infused elevated toast”, but was pleasantly surprised that she only paid $18.50 for her meal, with tip. “It kinda pains me to say, like, it wasn’t that bad. It was actually pretty good”, she muttered. Informed that nothing from the restaurant was farm to table or foraged, Davis looked surprised. “Well, the coffee wasn’t fair trade and they could use some curated cheeses on the menu, but they’re trying. And a nice cauliflower steak would add a touch of class to the offerings”, said the insufferable windbag.
Before leaving Davis posted a picture of the menu on Instagram with the comment “No kumbacha!!!” and a thumbs down.
Ugh….
What the h*** is “matcha-infused elevated toast?”
Could this possibly be an even elevated version of Avocado Toast!?!?
Ha, I think I came up with it in a moment of hipster creativity
sounds about right. do you know they just invented food in brooklyn last month, and that was after all the work in inventing booze before that.
Ha, best comment ever. You win the internet today!!
Bahahahahahaha “a nice cauliflower steak.”
Nice…!
MMMM…. Kale salad!!! And Kombucha!!! Two staples in our house. But I am addicted to steak when we dine out.
You need to make that “artisanal steak” to be a foodie!
I may have laughed out loud when I read this.
Glad you liked it Michelle 🙂
Is it April already? I can’t believe this is for real.
Seems ridiculous.
