I reached financial independence and semi-retired in my mid-40's through hard work, smart living, and investing. This blog chronicles my journey and explores many aspects of personal finance including the psychological and behavioral factors that drive our habits.
I hear you Dave … those W2 jobs always *start out* awesome. Then you begin to learn how “not awesome” they really are after a few months or years. Maybe your boss is a jerk or one of your co-workers is. Then you find out how inflexible they are about taking time-off… and so on!
Eventually even jobs you love can turn into a drag. Been there done that!
Turnip FIRE! is like, real fake news. I mean, there’s fake news that’s meant to be real, and then fake news that’s meant to be fake. The fake news that’s meant to be real is like, actual fake news. Nice! I hope to start a charity or foundation ne day and add it to the chart

I’ve never been accused of pimpin before.. not quite sure what to feel at the moment…

Yep, that’s why working for myself is so blissful. I’m really super-flexible in allowing myself time off 🙂
Like this graph. If you’re currently in a W-2 or self-employed, need to make some time for exercise!
Absolutely, to me its a non – negotiable. Thanks Brian!
