My Colorado 14ers Journey In Pictures And Videos

In July 2018 I finished climbing all 58 mountains in Colorado over 14,000 feet high, also known as the “14ers”.  You can read about it here and how it relates to your money.

You can also see the gear I used and recommend here.

I hope you enjoy these pictures and videos of my journey. The videos are all short 🙂

Sometimes you get lucky.  Brocken Spectre’s are pretty rare and take very specific conditions. I had only ever seen one once before, and it was from an airplane which is the most common way. This time it was on the summit of a 14er. It was otherworldly.

Here’s the video version of that, it comes at 13 seconds….

Sometimes the climbing gets pretty committed. It’s the stuff I enjoy the most.

Maroon Peak, Lots Of Rock Ledges

Climbing a mountain means going up and down under your own power. Pikes Peak has a road to the summit, although you climb by a trail. After summiting in crappy weather that was getting crappier, I was offered a ride down by a park ranger. You can guess my stubborn answer….

Paradise?  Quite Possibly….

I was also lucky to witness a few mountain shadows during my climbs.  You have to be near or on the summit to witness these most of the time, and they’re spectacular.
